Cleaning Water with Chlorine Dioxide

Water is a daily necessity for us all, and when you’re living nomadically you often have to get creative about where you’re finding it. My favorite spot is from streams or other running water sources, but there is still the problem of microbes to deal with.

There are a lot of good camping filters which do the job, but they’re tedious… and I’m pretty lazy. Chlorine Dioxide had been used by backpackers for decades as a safe way to disinfect their water, and it’s my preferred method. At the right doses it may also alleviate various health conditions. Ketogenic Vegan Hot Chocolate

I’ve recently adapted my Ketogenic Hot Chocolate recipe to be Vegan as well. This is done by replacing the ghee or butter with a can of coconut milk, and adding a little sunflower lecithin to aid in the mixing.

I’m loving it so far, and am still enjoying the natural health effects of being in ketosis – stable energy and a clear mind is a great way to start the day!
